This shirt was given in collaboration with Not Sorry Apparel. All opinions are my own. So I realize I have not worn a true spring time wear on my blog. Old school light denim shirt and plaid cropped capri pants was the ootd, last Sunday. Literally I married two different brands together and came up with a fun light look featuring my favorite brand Not Sorry Apparel. To be honest, I did not know this outfit was going to come out so cute. I have to admit I was jumping all over the place with my wardrobe. Summer time fine looks, then I was back to transitional pieces… idk I was so confused. It is super hard to wear a true spring time outfit in Michigan. Michigan weather has been know to be very bipolar in the transitional seasons. On today’s post I will be showing off my true spring time look. Honestly, I was not sure where I was going with this outfit. I had two different pieces that I did not consider to put together at all. First, I purchase these taupe plaid cropped capri pants from Target. They have a fairly new brand called Who What Wear, …

Weekend OOTD | My Easy Casual Street Style
It was so beautiful this weekend. It was warm, bright, and sunny outside. One thing to know about me is that the weather dictate my mood. When it is sunny outside, I am in such good spirits. So of course I took to the city streets show off my threads. I like to keep it simple and casual when I walking up down the streets of Detroit. In today’s post we will explore some of my favorite spring essential and how I put this casual wear together. If you know me than you know I am a cool girl, nothing said cool more than distressed denim. So I reached for my favorite high waist denim jeans from Forever 21. Y all should already know that store is my “bread and butter”, and when I say that I mean it is affordable. These jeans are super comfy, just what I need for walking right? If you are looking for distressed denim I would say to start looking at Forever 21, they have various of style and it is super affordable. If you want to invest in denim, then I would say take a Kut from the Kloth, and or Nordstrom to find …
Yellow is My It Color | Wrap Dress from Target
Yellow is my ish. It captures everyone’s attention…. and if you know me then you know I love little attention. Yellow is luminous and it loves my complexion. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear yellow. “Yellow looks so good on you.” So, this yellow wrap dress from Target was put in my cart with the upmost quickness! Yes, this dress is from brand called, A New Day that exclusively sold at Target. The brand focus it attention on everyday wear. Yes this dress you can be worn up or down, everyday. I must say it this brand has been my go to, and the reason why my love for Target has grown so strong. When I have a day off from work, I always find myself at Target. It like a off day tradition now. Get a day off, drive to Target, Simple. LOL The struggle is real in Target. I go in for one item and walk out broke, every time. Do you over spend in Target, if so let me know in the comment section? A few weeks ago, I came across this summer infused wrap dress from A New Day. The yellow hue alone had …
Taste of Summer| Hawaiian Shirt from Not Sorry Apparel
This shirt was given in collaboration with Not Sorry Apparel. All opinions are my own. Festival season is in full swing. If I was at Coachella right now I would be wearing this Hawaiian shirt, representing my city, and being unapologetic about. I love to look at all the fun outfits and colorful look that are inspired from Coachella and all the other festivals to come. Now when I initially went to the Not Sorry Apparel’s shop, a festival inspired look was not on my mind. I was clueless… I had not the slightest idea on what I wanted to do. So I started flipping through the racks and there it was. I stop right at this Hawaiian, tropical print shirt. The light went off in my head and my inspirational juices started to flow. PARADISE! “Find paradise wherever I go” -Unknown So with this look I decided to skip over spring and jumping straight into to warm summer vibes. This over sized Hawaiian shirt from Not Sorry Apparel is just want I need to put me back in my fun-loving spirit. Definitely having a tropical state of mind!! Yo So this weekend my mom and I went downtown to …
OOTD| Neutral Denim Set x Tie Dye Shirt |Missguided
Finally, I got a chance to show off my legs with a denim mini skirt and a matching cropped jacket from Missguided. Spring has sprung in the city and I do not know how to act. The forecast hit the city with 68 degrees and sunny weather. The sun definitely boosted my energy and put me in a good mood all weekend. I finally felt comfortable to stripped off some of my layers and hit the city. If you know anything about Michigan weather, it can be very wishy-washy during the transitional season. When we get beautiful weather we hit the streets and have a good time. FashionLayn Outfit Deets… So one day I was at my desk and I was watching a video of Youtuber having a try on haul of all the clothing she bought from Missguided. I was finishing up on website when I came across this super cute cream denim set both pieces featuring silver metal details and contrast stitching. I just love …
OOTD | How To Wear Neon Colors?
Over the weekend I decided to make a statement by exploring my fun side using neon colors. According to the NYFW and varies magazines, neon colors are on trend for spring 2019. I was so excited to hear that neons were making a comeback. As a fashion blogger is was super important to me to play around with this trend. So I took to the street of Downtown Detroit and strut my stuff. Bright bold orange was certainly my muse this weekend. Can you tell a sis was feeling herself ? Orange is the happiest color! -Frank Sinatra Now before you go “the brighter the better” there is a few questions you need to ask yourself before tackling neon. Ask yourself how big you want to go? Are you a more subtle or bold? Are you a risk taker when it comes to fashion? Let me tell you I am more of a “subtle sis” when it comes to neons. Less is more. When I wear clothes I like to make a statement however I don’t want to over do it. I like for my outfit to be versatile. I want to be able to wear this wherever. So I …

The Monochromatic Option for Valentines Day
What are you wearing for Valentines Day? Valentines is 2 days away, lol you have some time to get on board ladies. If you know me I am keeping this look budget friendly for the girls that are conscious about their coins. So I have this cute inexpensive monochromatic look. When it comes to creating a “one color” look, simply keep to one color and add different textures, and gradients. I decided on blush pink, one of my favorite colors for the season. To be honest, I have been quite obsessed with monochromatic fashion. So I decided to experiment with it this time around. My look is clean, casual, chic, but still bringing a little wow-factor to the table. Guaranteed it will have your love interest trying to shoot their shot.. So if you want the tea on how I put together this look… keep reading. FashionLayn’s Outfit Deets… I decided to branch outside of my quirky street theme and come with a monochromatic, feminine look. Creating a outfit based on one color can be a bit boring, to some. If you incorporate the right elements, and understand a bit of depth and dimension, I guarantee you will pull …
