It was so beautiful this weekend. It was warm, bright, and sunny outside. One thing to know about me is that the weather dictate my mood. When it is sunny outside, I am in such good spirits. So of course I took to the city streets show off my threads. I like to keep it simple and casual when I walking up down the streets of Detroit.  In today’s post we will explore some of my favorite spring essential and how I put this casual wear together. If you know me than you know I am a cool girl, nothing said cool more than distressed denim. So I reached for my favorite high waist denim jeans from Forever 21. Y all should already know that store is my “bread and butter”, and when I say that I mean it is affordable. Yellow is my ish.  It captures everyone’s attention…. and if you know me then you know I love little attention. Yellow is luminous and it loves my complexion. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear yellow. “Yellow looks so good on you.” So, this yellow wrap dress from Target was put in my cart with the upmost quickness!  Yes, this dress is from brand called, A New Day that exclusively sold at Target.  The brand focus it attention on everyday wear. Yes this dress you can be worn up or down, everyday. I must say it this brand has been my go to, and the reason why my love for Target has grown so strong. If I was at Coachella right now I would be wearing this Hawaiian shirt, representing my city, and being unapologetic about. I love to look at all the fun outfits and colorful look that are inspired from Coachella and all the other festivals to come. Finally, I got a chance to show off  my legs with a denim mini skirt and a matching cropped jacket from Missguided. Spring has sprung in the city and I do not know how to act.  The forecast hit the city with 68 degrees and sunny weather. The sun definitely boosted my energy and put me in a good mood all weekend. I finally felt comfortable to stripped off some of my layers and hit the city. If you know anything about Michigan weather, it can be very wishy-washy during the transitional season. When we get beautiful weather we hit the streets and have a good time. Over the weekend I decided to make a statement by exploring my fun side using neon colors. According to the NYFW and varies magazines, neon colors are on trend for spring 2019.  I was so excited to hear that neons were making a comeback. As a fashion blogger is was super important to me to play around with this trend. So I took to the street of Downtown Detroit and strut my stuff.  Bright bold orange was certainly my muse this weekend. Can you tell a sis was feeling herself ? Now, I know I should be talking about spring fashion wear, however it is still cold in the city. I have to keep it real for y’all. I had so many things to do…. 4 photoshoots, lunch meetings, and finding a gift for my dad. As I was walking up and down the city streets  I was keeping warm with my over sized double-breasted coat from Not Sorry Apparel.  The over sized coats has been in style for winter months, and finally I got my hands on one.  You can’t miss what the coat says on the bottom right hand side. “Detroit Not Sorry”. This coats stands out.  Y’all know how I feel about Detroit. This coat came in handy and I received a lot of compliments on the coat as I was walking. So I will be wearing my heavy coat until the degrees on my phone in the morning says 45 degrees or more. Not sorry at all about it. What are you wearing for Valentines Day?  Valentines is 2 days away, lol you have some time to get on board ladies.  If you know me I am keeping this look budget friendly for the girls that are conscious about their coins. So I have this cute inexpensive monochromatic look.   When it comes to creating a “one color” look, simply keep to one color and add different textures, and gradients.
