New Hair, New Sweater, New Look… who is this ?I am feeling myself.  Lol I decided to take the casual approach last weekend. I enjoy being creative when it comes to fashion but somethings I appreciate my simple looks. To be honest this really how I dress all the time.  Everyday look !! Finally it is chilly enough in Detroit to rock a sweater. This weekend it was about 53 degrees… so me and mom took to the street of Downtown Detroit and walk up and down Gratiot Ave. We check out the local stores, and the record shop and enjoyed each others company.  Sidenote: If you are ever in Detroit, you have to visit Eastern Market to see all the local vendors and shops, and dope murals. Lately what has been on trend are things from the 70’s have been showing up in the stores. In the “Its October” post I was telling y’all that in Forever 21 they had a big section dedicated to 70’s prints, and style.  Bell Bottoms, Patches, Geometric prints, and corduroy, etc. I think 70’s were super unique and powerful time in our history. In this weeks outfit I am giving y’all a bit of the 70’s in this look.  The mini skirt with the zip panel, a cozy mustard sweater with thigh high boots. Happy October. Omg can you believe it… we are in the 4th quarter of the year ! I can even keep it up. Every time I look it up we are in a new month, almost a new year. Shesh !  So this month is about HEALING ! The focus on healing myself inside and out , and mentally. Last month I hit a big bump , you know that big bump is called life.  The experience really left me feeling really low. I want to help us understand that we make messes in life but we can clean them up. Our flaws and wounds are apart of us but they  don’t minimize the good within us. Last Sunday I attend an event called “Robes & Rosé”.  I must say it was  ultimate social event for like mind women to come together network and make some connections.  Its funny I say connections because Femology Detroit, a modern-day business work space for women and Supernatural, a lingerie store for modern and “magical women. These two different business platforms came together to collaborate for  founders, CEOs, bloggers, vloggers, business owners, influencers, and more to come together to socialize and make some connections.  I am all for making connections with women. We need more events like this to bring women together. Female Camaraderie ! Check out post on the importance of  female camaraderie. At the social event we got a chance to meet the female founder, Carlie the Women Owned Business called Supernatural Lingerie.  She is based out of her hometown Birmingham, MI . Trend Report ! I am bringing y’all the trend report and the report is telling me this…. Blazers, hounds tooth, plaids, pin stripes, blouses, loose trousers to booties are on the seen this fall. I am here for this trendy look ! I am remixing a couple of trends in this outfit. So first, I started looking for a pantsuit, but check this nobody told me that finding a really cool pantsuit was going to be so hard.  You know I really got into Beyoncé and Jay-Z pantsuits in the Apesh*t video ! If you don’t know pantsuit are really in style this upcoming Fall too.  So I’m on all the sites trying to find a suit that fits my shape.  I would stay Eloquii is the best place to start first.  However, it is still a struggle bus for me!  I have an hour-glass shape and sometimes I can be considered a pear shape . Lately, I have been in between sizes not sure what really fits right any more. My waist is super small and my hips are super wide so trying to find the right pants to fit my figure is super hard. Tomorrow is when my vacation…  and I need to get away from all the stressful things that going on in my life. I am so happy and thankful for this time! So it is only right that I post before my trip. Of course I can not leave y’all hanging. I have been so overwhelmed and I know why… I am super unbalanced lol.  Unbalanced what you talking about sis ?  I am doing to much of one thing and not doing enough of the other.  How am I am going to get it together? Man this heat wave this week … OMG it was super hot! When it is hot like this outside I do not want any extra clothes making me even more hot. You know that irritating sticky feel you get, or that feeling you feel dirty as soon as you step outside. Yeah that kinda of hot.  Less clothes… gotta pull out a sun dress.  With that being said I found a cute little button down sundress.  I guess you can say I am trying to knock some of the last few trends of the summer before we get fully geared up for fall attire in the store. The heat index is somewhere between OMG and WTH  Any who I got this striped button down dress from Forever21.  The shell of the dress is made out of cotton with full rayon lining,  so I believe the material will help keep you cool. This dress is definitely outside my comfort zone. If you know me, I am body con dress lover. I love anything that hugs my curves. So having a dress that does not  hug me was different, but in a good way.  I normally do not do dresses like this …

August has to be the busiest month for me personally. I have my vacation already booked to Atlanta ! On The Run Tour II  and everything else under the sun.  I am so ready for this vacation. I need a break from it all. That brings me to the subject of  “de-stressing” . While I am on vacation I plan to leave every behind that has been bothering me or holding back to the side and focus on having another fun filled trip in ATL !  This month we are going to focus de-stress our lives while bring dope fashions to blog!
