September Flat lay

September First…

This time is going by so fast. Can you believe it? This year has been such an emotional year. The last couple days have left me in…… whew chile. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note for the month of  September. Let get into it!

As I mention before it has been so emotional. We are all dealing with so much. The pandemic, racial tension at a high, police brutality, and incompetence in the White house. On top of everything Chadwick Boseman passed away. I am completely done with this loss.

However, this year has definitely push me outside of my comfort zone. I have a new career and I am proud of myself becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. September is going to be great month be causing I am claiming it. I am praying that this month is kind to us. What are you looking for to this month?

Personal Note/Goals

On the personal side of things, It seems like I have been on emotional roller coaster since March. I want off this crazy ride. 2020 came out the door swinging. We stayed taking a lot of losses, on top of the racial disparities, and incomptanace in the White House. It has been so much I am drained.

Give Yourself Some Grace

On the contrary, I was so overjoyed to start my new job as a mortgage underwriter. I am happy that I took the leap however this is one of hardest job I ever tackle. I have days where I wonder why I ever took this position. This job is new and it hard, however I have to remember to stop being so hard on myself. In addition, we all have to check that inner mean girl we have inside. Give yourself some grace and be kind to yourself. For example, Beyonce did not become the Queen B that we know and love. It took a lot of hard work, dedication, and few tears. So remember to be kind to yourself. I will get there and you will too. Thus, my new goals for the month are:

In September My Goals Are…
  1. Give myself time to pray and meditate in the morning and at night.
  2. Exercise for 20-30 minutes for 3 days out of the week
  3. Standalone in my new career. Do 1 more mortgage everyday than the day before. Make my way up to underwriting 20 loans a day.
  4. Commit to buying  from 1-2 black owned business or donate to organization that benefits the Black community, or the underprivileged once a month.
  5. Say no- stand up for myself.

What are your goals this month?
