February First…

Happy Monday! How was your January for? As most of y’all would say “January was a trial, I’m going start again in February”. Sis, I get it! January towards the end was really heavy. It certainly left most of us in a whirlwind of emotions. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note. For me, January was full of excitement, chill, with some sadness. However, I was able to celebrate my life. I turned 30 and brought in my birthday in Vegas with some of my closest friends. With our beloved, Kobe and daughter Gigi’s  death on our shoulder it certainly put us all in state of shock and disbelief. The tragic death of those in the helicopter brought me back to reality. Happy 2020 sis! Did you doing anything fun for the New Year? Well I spent my new year with the parents. It was snowing and I was too lazy to make the trip to city, where it’s litty lol. Chapter 11| November Plan and Goals

Happy November everyone! Look how quick we transition from Halloween to  the Holiday season, LOL.  If you saw my timeline on Facebook  you would see funny post and memes referencing the Grinch and the girl dancing super hard to jingle bells. Well that how I am going to pull up at my parent’s house for that tasty meal my mom is going to prepare for Thanksgiving. (Sidenote: I am going to help her with the cooking this year).  Yes I love food and Thanksgiving food is such favorite of mine. To add to the occasion, November helps me put things back in to perspective, Gratitude. I try to practice gratitude to all year round. However, it more sweet when you share it with others. Chapter 10|October Plans and Goals

My girl! How you feeling??  We made it to a new month! Yes a new month, new goals, new mindset, new intent, and new focus. Yes this month I feel awaken. I feel like I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to it. I spoke to one of my friends and he was basically gave me some needed spark in my butt to get my creative juices flowing for the month of October. Last month, creatively I felt drain and my page and everything seem to suffer. My mind was out of it and I got back in the insanity salad of comparing myself. Chapter 9 | September Plan and Goals

Hey Everyone, I am finally back from my actual and mental vacation. Chilllleee it has been so hard to get back to my norm,  when you have been having the time of your life. Last month, I had to get away from it all. I was burnt out from my job, I got sick…. it was just too much. Anyway, I went to Atlanta with my girls and now I back from the Labor Day weekend feeling a bit more refreshed and ready to start a new in September. On today’s blog post I will reflect and share my personal goals,  what’s coming to FashionLayn.com, and a brief fashion report. 5 Ways to Overcome Writer’s Block

As of lately I have been so uninspired.  I have nothing to write about. My mind has been else where and I just can’t get it together. I am experiencing writer’s block! Bloggers, Content Creator yall  know what writer’s block is. It can transpire due to timing, fear, and striving for perfection.  Now writer’s block had creeped  on me right at the end of July! Creatively I am a little exhausted.  Literally, I have been creating different flatlays hoping that would inspired something for me to write about. Chapter 8 | August Plan and Goals

August is the summer’s Sunday.  Yes, we are in the home stretch of summer. So it is time to put all your summer plans in motion. We gotta get it all done. Anyway I survived the mercury retrograde! Girl yes! I know I made it by the grace of GOD because I have been transitioning. We are going to say transitioning instead of struggling. So many good things revealed itself in July.
