Turning 29: Lessons I Learned in My Twenties
So today is my 29th birthday… I am so thankful to see another birthday. I have one more year to the BIG 3-0. To be really honest, I am kinda scared of getting older. Simply I am afraid of the unknown and becoming irrelevant. I recently was saying this in a previous post, simply discussing my plans as a 29 years old and so forth. To change my thoughts on the fear, I decided it would be best to focus and admire my growth. Growth in life is key. I am not the same girl I use to be, and I am so thankful. Instead of getting hyped up for about premature thoughts on getting older…. I am going to embrace my life, my age, and admire my growth! To admire my growth here are 29 things I have learned in my 20s. You can’t pour from an empty glass: I learned in order to be my best self, I have to make sure I take time to take care of myself. While working and blogging I learn that I had to invest more time for self and mental care. So every day now I take 10 minutes or more …
Turning 29: How I Am Spending My Last Year of My Twenties
On Thursday I will be celebrating my 29th birthday. I can not believe how fast time as gone by. It is really the last birthday of my 20s. I have to be really frank, I feel some time of way. I am dreading my 30s. So my fears towards getting older are becoming irrelevant and uncool. Little kids are actually calling me ancient- Can you believe that?! I am very fearful of becoming irrelevant- like I don’t matter anymore to society.  I also dread my 30s because I feel like I am losing time, fear of not being accomplished.  I had my life planned out a certain, clearly life had other plans for me. So I am feeling insecure about a lot of things. Not being successful. No husband. Stilling renting. Just a lot of things I thought would have been different. Also I put this burden on my back that I am too old to do certain things. Like learn a new language, or to swim. Anyway I have subscribed to the negatives stereotypes of becoming older.  I am challenging myself to break out of chains that I put upon myself. Living Life does not stop at the end of …

Bye Bye 2018: My Small Reflection
We are right on the cusp of 2018. I felt compel to write a brief reflection today. I have to be all the way 100, I am so thankful that 2018 is near the end. For me it has been up and down roller coaster. Maybe even a love/hate relationship. I think that sounds better. HAHA. 2018 I had so many highlights. I can really say it was the year of doors being open for me. I was given the opportunity to collaborate with some many brands. Collaborating with Forever 21 was one of the greatest accomplishment that I faced as bloggers. I still get chills when I think about. Also, collaborating with TomboyX help me feel more confident to bare it all with their super comfortable underwear. 2018 also allow me to network and meet so many wonderful folks. Going to all the Femology Detroit events really reassure my confidences. Lastly, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with amazing photographers in city. I am so thankful for them all because they make the quality on my blog that much better. On another note, 2018 would not be complete if I did not learn a few lesson. Accountability, self …
Glitz+Glamour New Years Inspired Outfit
Are you going out for New Years?  I know for myself this year has been a tough for me. I want to end this year off on a good note.  I want to celebrate and bring it in with a chic outfit too. Before I tell you about this outfit lets get into the back story. A few weeks ago I was invited to participate in New Years glamour photo shoot with a bunch of local bloggers, and influencers. I was super excited to link up with these ladies. I was really looking forward to building a relationship with them. Anyway I had to be on point for this shoot. Now to be honest I didn’t have any extra cash to run out to get a new outfit. If you know me  you know I shopped my closet. I was so pumped for the shoot however, it was cancelled due to photographer flight being delayed. I have to be honest I was super disappointed. However I was not going to let a cancelled photo shoot ruin my day. So I called my mom, told her what was going on, and we headed downtown. My mom is so awesome. FashionLayn’s Outfit …
