First of July

Happy July everyone. This year has been flying by so fast. At this point I am just holding on to my head. I hope you all had an amazing time last month. I hope you stay hydrated, and stayed out of negative self talk, and anxiety and depression. If that is okay, you still rock anyway!

Anyway, I am feeling super excited and I am really looking forward to July. So let’s get into this blog. In today’s post I am keeping brief; I am reflecting and sharing my personal goals for the month of July!

PERSONAL NOTE/ GOALS

LETS REFLECT FIRST, MADE A LOT OF CHANGES LAST MONTH 🙂

The past month I have been month I have been really working through my mental health. Being more aware of my triggers, working with affirming myself, and working through my anxiety. Yesterday I was so thankful that therapy is available for me and that I can afford it. I definitely understand that it not for everyone and that is not accessible resources at time.

I want to talk about advocating for yourself. This is something that has been the hardest thing for me to do. I plan on talking about this is later blog post. However, a lot of things happen to me, because I don’t speak up for myself. I worry more on how the person is going to react. I also avoid confrontation because it make me uncomfortable. Long story turn short… anxiety is the issue.

I say all that the say that, you are allow to stand up for yourself. If something is making you uncomfortable, speak up. If you need something, speak up! It is nothing wrong with advocating for yourself. You matter!

What steps can be effective when self-advocating ?

IN JULY MY GOALS ARE…
  1. Give myself time to pray and meditate in the morning and at night.
  2. Continue to journal everyday 
  3. When I am feeling stress out at work, take a day off !
  4. Stick to blogging plan.
  5. Commit to buying from 1-2 black owned business or donate to organization that benefits the Black community, or the underprivileged once a month.
  6. Say no- stand up for myself.
  7. Remember to be kind to myself, Giving myself grace.
