Eloquii Found A New Home in Detroit !

Recap: Detroit Store Opening Party ! Yes, this is not a pop up shop ! This is the real deal. Eloquii finally made a home in Detroit. YES YES your girl is super happy. On top of all the excitement I was invite earlier last week to the Grand Opening Party. Omg did i just get invited ?? Yes sis I was in the building with some many other ladies celebrating Eloquii, our sizes, and style. This is Eloquii’s fourth store, located inside the Twelve Oaks Malls in Novi (metro Detroit area). So yes Detroit is winning ! The Grand Opening Party was so much fun. It was photo booth, champagne, decadent goodies, and a store full of stylish collections. Yessss I was invited over the past weekend to attend the Urban Cinderella Fashion Show at the Ponyride in Detroit. So exciting ! This show focus its attention on 3 totally different brands…. Design, Makeup and Hair and 1 fashion show. Three brands, three ladies that collaborated together to bring us the fashion show for the season. Let me tell you sis the whole show was serving black girl magic on a silver platter. The Fashion Show gave us all denim inspired looks for the spring. The looks definitely came with a urban twist. Pearls, Ruffles, Distress that what the designer was giving me, a one of a kind looks. I really was at lost for words when I witness the designs on the runway Truly Goodness I witness ! ….. DROPPIN’ GEMS: Doubt Kills Dreams

Have you heard the phrase… “Doubt kills more dream than failure ever will” ? Yeah I came across this quote on Pinterest and it really got me thinking about self doubt and how easy we can fall to it. Doubt can make you lack confidence in your abilities to accomplish something. It hold you back from doing great things. We all were given potential to do something great with our lives. However we still doubt ourselves. Why do you doubt ourselves in the first place ? Fear that we can’t sustain. Habitual doubter – It’s habit – sidenote: it take 21 days to break a habit. We lack the skills or the experiences Not putting the past behind us We believe what others day Surround by people who doubt themselves Comfort Zone/ Complacent All these things can make you doubt yourself. Doubt your potential and then it can kill your dream ! So listen we do not have time for the dream killing or the dream killers. Doubt definitely kills dreams more than failure. Girls Trip is the Best Medicine

This trip was one of the best experience that I had so far. Now I did not get a chance to check out the monuments and all the others stuff but I had a another chance to bond with my girls… my sister ! #tripsandrisk We have been traveling together for a few years. Greek picnics, Atlanta, Toronto… and now DC. I really needed this trip because I was really burnt out at work. My Body Image Gives Me The Blues Sometimes! How to deal ?

Dealing with body struggles is a tough thing to swallow. It something that everybody has dealt with throughout or some point of their lives. I can really be tough on my body at times. Wishing my stomach was flatter, I wish I didn’t have dimples on my butt, or stretch marks. Wishing my skin was more clearer or my teeth brighter. All those things that keep me obsessing. Here come the school stories. I was called “butter ball” in middle school. Also I was the thick girl in high school. Yeah some guys actually called me big mama! Really ! You already know that having meat on your bones was rarely celebrate or in style. Then I had a bad love triangle thing in college… all the way wrong! So yes the anxiety set in and your trying to do anything and everything to fit in what the world says is normal. Little do you know your now on the road of body image struggles.
