The Cover | FashionLayn’s Picks of the Month

On the cover of August’s issue is Alayna. Yayyyy!! LOL  Just trying to give myself a boost of self confidence. My dream has always been to be on a cover of someone’s fashion magazine. When People’s Style Watch was a thing, I always knew that one day I was going to get featured.  However, that days has not came yet and the magazine is discontinued. I decided to design my own magazine cover and put myself on it. Why not? You know, just having fun, bring creative, and boosting myself in the process. Anyway, the reason why I designed a cover because I noticed that  most cover star have a section in the magazines that they showcase all these favorite picks. Since I am on the cover lol, on today’s post I am sharing with you  all my favorite products & colors for the month of July. I think I am going to make this a monthly thing. These products and colors have been my holy grails for the month. So scroll down and check out the fictional cover and check out all the items I am loving. “These are a few of my Favorite Things.” Milk Cosmetics Hydro Grip Primer …

10 Simple Ways to Stop Overthinking

So, I can create a whole climatic event/ story in my head, and that is because I am an over thinker. Overthinking is exactly  what is it, thinking too much. I overthink everything and guess you can say that I am addicted to thinking. Positive thoughts or negative thoughts (mostly negative), I think all throughout the day. Worst of it all I have not made any type of action.  The constant ruminating and worrying definitely takes a toll on me mentally. Clearly I am living in my life too much in past and the future. Black Girl Sunscreen| Will This Protect My Melanin?| Product Review

Black does not crack! Well what I have to say to that is if you do not take care of it properly then it will certainly wear. Drinking water, minding your business, and a good SPF can have you skin in tip top shape. Speaking of SPF I purchase the Black Girl Sunscreen from Target. This product is just in time for the summer. Detroit is seriously heating up, Okay! I need all the protection I can get from the hot sun. Hmm, maybe Jackie Ania, a Youtuber, brainwashed me into using SPF lol.  I have not use SPF in quite some time. Anyway I am trying out sunscreen, on my body, for the first time since I was a young girl in summer camp. On today’s blog post I will be reviewing the “Black Girl Sunscreen“. Before I get into this review, let me tell you a few reasons why I never wore sunscreen. I know my kinfolks can understand my gripe with sunscreens, in general. First, I believe that my darker skin already protected me from the sun. Sunscreen protection was not something we discuss as much growing up Sunscreen I though was another product to waste my …
