July First…

Happy July everyone. Yes, We made it yall! We made it out the first half of 2020. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note for the month of  July. June has definitely been an emotionally month, some high moments and some low.  I was able to officially celebrate Juneteenth, which has been recognize as an holiday in Michigan.  I use that time to learn, celebrate with family, and teach others.  Next year, I look forward to this holiday, I want to have an actually party.   As a country we definitely have a lot more work to do when it comes to addressing the problems we face. However, I plan to make the best out of July. I refuse to let myself be carried away with all stress, and pain. With what is going on I plan to get closer with my faith, and help be the change I want to see for this country. We need more empathy and honesty. Overall I am thankful for health, my family and friends and look forward to great month. What do you look forward to?  Related: June First Related: June …

June First…

Half way through the year and 2020 is one those things that just keeps on giving, and not in a good way.  I am currently at lost for words, not knowing exactly how I should start. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note for the month of June. Usually I would tell you my thoughts on still being under the stay at home order. Well this post I am going to start off a little different. I want to use my platform to bring some awareness to what is going in the Black community. Let me be honest, my heart is grieving right now. Yet again,  my system is shock right back into the reality of deeply rooted systematic racism in the USA. Again, another unarmed black man, George Floyd, has been taken due to those that are sworn to protect us, the police.  Not only was he taken however Breonna Taylor was unarmed and gunned down by police,  and Ahmaud Arbery’s life was taken by two white men, and so many black men and black women .  Police brutality has been ongoing issue for years, new …

May First…

Happy Friday everyone! Is it me or did April fly by. In a blink of an eye we are now in May. Wow!! So how are you doing? Are you working from home? Are you still under a stay-at- home? For myself, I am still working from home and Michigan has extended the stay at home order. Overall, I am okay with it all. I am thankful that I have the option to work from home, and happy that I have more time to myself- it’s kinda of a blessing in disguise. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note for the month of May. During the stay at home, I have been able to take time out to redecorate my home, save more money, eat a little better, and get close to my mom. Like I said it has been blessing. I make more time  to pray and meditate during all of this. I need it because this new normal at times has me stressed out or super tired. Overall, it has been somewhat taxing at times, but I am looking forward and open to May. The …

Happy Monday! How was your January for? As most of y’all would say “January was a trial, I’m going start again in February”. Sis, I get it! January towards the end was really heavy. It certainly left most of us in a whirlwind of emotions. On today’s post I am reflecting, sharing my personal goals, latest fashion style & trends, and a brief blog note. For me, January was full of excitement, chill, with some sadness. However, I was able to celebrate my life. I turned 30 and brought in my birthday in Vegas with some of my closest friends. To add to the excitement I shared my 30 thoughts on turning 30. So many thoughts, to check it out click here.  I had a lot of fun and overcome with a lot of emotions. With our beloved, Kobe and daughter Gigi’s  death on our shoulder it certainly put us all in state of shock and disbelief. The tragic death of those in the helicopter brought me back to reality. Life is so fragile. Our life is so precious.  I learned that we need to value our time on this planet. We all have an expiration date, so we need …
